Terms, refunds and privacy

unemployed is a free, open source job hunting tool that runs on your own computer. There is no account to buy, no subscription and no paid tier. Nothing on this site is sold.

The coffee button is a voluntary contribution towards what it costs to keep this website and the wall online. It buys nothing, unlocks nothing, and is not a purchase of goods or services.

Payments are handled by Razorpay. Card details are entered into Razorpay's own window and are never seen by, sent to, or stored on this site.

Contributions are charged in Indian rupees. Outside India the page shows a rounded amount in your own currency as a guide, at an approximate rate, and states the rupee figure that will actually be charged before you pay. Your bank may add its own currency conversion fee, which this site has no part in and no sight of.

There is nothing to deliver, so there is nothing to cancel.

If you paid by accident, paid more than you meant to, or simply changed your mind, email me within seven days and I will refund it in full without asking why. Refunds go back to the card or account they came from and usually take five to seven working days to appear, which is Razorpay and your bank rather than me.

If you join the wall: the name you chose, your country, the avatar seed behind your face, and the email address on the Google account you signed in with. The address is never shown on the wall and never sent anywhere. Your resume, your job list and everything the tool knows about your career stay on your own machine and are never uploaded.

If you buy a coffee: the amount, the currency you were shown, and Razorpay's own payment reference. If you were signed in, it is linked to your row on the wall so your face can be marked. No card number reaches this site.

IP addresses are not stored. A salted hash of one is kept so that a single person cannot flood the wall, and a hash cannot be turned back into an address.

Email me and I will remove your row from the wall and anything attached to it. There is no form for this because there are not yet enough of you for a form to be the faster option.
